Principal's Message

Glynda Smith

Dear Beaverdam Families,

I am so honored to be a part of the Beaverdam Elementary School community and to be leading our students and staff as the principal. Attending elementary school is an exciting time in a child’s school career and a time when he/she should explore learning opportunities, take risks, and develop as a student. At BES, we are committed to making each day memorable and meaningful. We believe when staff, parents, and our school community work together, all BES students benefit. Beaverdam Elementary School is committed to excellence in educating and preparing students for their future contributions to society.

Thank you for being a member of the Beaverdam family and allowing our faculty the opportunity and privilege to work with your child(ren) every day. I look forward to many opportunities for us to work together this year. I encourage you to be involved in our school. If I can assist you in any way, then please do not hesitate to contact me.

Sincerely,

Dr. Glynda Smith
Principal

A Message from our Assistant Principal

Michelle Whaley

Welcome to the 2022–2023 school year! I am truly elated to be starting my 6th year as the assistant principal at Beaverdam Elementary School. This school year is going to be one to remember as we are going to be introducing a den system! Our theme this year is "Three Dens, One Family." Our goal is to foster authentic relationships between students and staff in all grade levels. We want students to feel like they are part of a team; therefore creating a place where students choose to come. I can't wait for our students to learn all about this new system that will bring them even closer together as a learning community.

Beaverdam is a very special place...a place where the staff and parents believe in working together to help our students achieve their personal best! The students here bring joy and happiness to our school. We are truly fortunate to have such a wonderful group of children! My experience here continues to be amazing! It has been filled with hard work and a massive learning experience for all. Having parental support and open lines of communication is an essential part of a successful school year. I look forward to working with each and every one of you to develop formidable relationships and work collaboratively. Please know that my door is always open to you. Please feel free to contact me at any time. Working together as a team, we are helping to mold lifelong learners!

Yours in Education,

Mrs. Michelle Whaley
