BES students and families are getting ready for one of the most anticipated events of the year—
the Scholastic Book Fair, running December 5 through 11. The fair will be open daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., with a 24-hour online store available throughout the week for those who prefer to shop from home.
The book fair offers multiple payment options to make shopping easy. Students may use
eWallet, a secure digital account where families can deposit funds; cash placed in a labeled envelope or bag; or checks made out to BES with a phone number and student lunch number included. Adults shopping in person may also pay by credit card, Apple Pay, Samsung Wallet, and other digital methods. The school reminds families that lunch account money cannot be used for purchases.
This year, Scholastic has arranged for no sales tax on in-person book fair purchases. Online purchases will still include tax.
Families can preview books, shop online, and share the book fair link with relatives who want to support their student’s reading. There is also an option to donate funds for students who may not have money to shop, as well as opportunities to volunteer throughout the week.
